Duluth

A couple of weeks ago, Michael and I went on a trip to Duluth for a few days. Our friend, Glass, lives there, and was kind enough to show us some of the prettier parts of the city.

Our first night, we went to a bar called the Rathskellar. It's located in the foundation of a very old courthouse. It used to be the courthouse's jail area. It was a marvelous place, very intimate, and the bartenders actually know what they're doing.

Blueberry porter and Knob Creek. Oh. Man.

After the bar, we wandered a bit. We walked along the boardwalk. And a train yard.

.....And eventually found our way to another bar. A micro-brewery, to be exact.

And then we did some more wandering! We went through alleys, checked out some manholes, and went to the top of a parking ramp with a pretty nice view.

The next day, we went to Ely's Peak for a hike.

And the next couple days were a wonderful combination of drains, tunnels, and shopping!

Oh yes, and a quick stop at Graffiti Graveyard, where I barely had the strength to put up 1 small piece.
