This year, we've got one hell of a garden. I started the garden plants from seed, even the herbs. We built a raised bed about 36' x 4' and 20 inches deep. There's beets, carrots, squash, peppers, and tons of cucumbers and carrots. Here's How it looked right after we built it...
I built this wooden stand for all the pots. Cute huh?

Independence Day

I want to share some of the photos from the 4th of July! A few of them came out really nice. I also was able to take a time laps video. Michael and I were able to watch the fireworks from the roof of the Ramsey County government center downtown. We were practically eye-level with the rockets. We were able to see for miles in every direction. We saw every firework explosion within a 3 mile radius. Pretty magical.

I've been a stranger, I know.

Been a while since I've posted! What a journey it's been during the past few months. I took a job with a bank, and it did take up quite a bit of my time. Long story short, and at the risk of tarnishing the name of a major corporation, it turned out that working there was absolutely horrible, so today I called it quits, and am in the process of enrolling in school. More about that subject later. I have LOADS of photos to upload, so bear with me, it may be a slow process of getting them up here. I did add a few things to my photo bag, including a Canon 50mm, a Canon 28-135mm, a new tripod, and a lot more experience. I also bought a multi-use printer, which has been very handy for scanning photos and printing reference material. The photo I've uploaded is that of an old strip of Milwaukee Railway found in the Hastings, MN area. It was right near the old depot, which now serves as a tax firm or something. The bricks surrounding the building and the depot itself had such beautiful colors and textures. I love the contrast between industrial and natural subjects.
