Trip Up North

I was lucky enough to accept an invite to Brainerd over the past couple of days. My friend Michelle has a cabin up there, and it was absolutely gorgeous. True to form, I forgot my camera at home as I was rushing out the door, and wasn't able to take photos. We stopped at a butcher's, went to a nursery, and hit at least 3 thrift shops before actually making it to the cabin. I picked up an adorable aloe vera baby, and found an incredible deal on a vintage Minolta 35mm! The lens it came with is a 45mm prime f2, which is crazy sharp. I am so excited to play around with it!

I painted this for class, took a couple hours but I think it's coming along pretty good, still needs some more detail work.
