My friend Afton is in town visiting from Mankato. She just spent 3 hours getting her first large tattoo, and we're now getting some supper at Mickey's Diner in Saint Paul! Mmm....

A few photos
So one of the main reasons I started this blog is so I would have a somewhat private outlet for sharing my photos. Here are a couple that I've taken this past winter. There are many more, but I think I may upload a few to my flickr account and link to that site from time to time. Just to keep the blog from getting too congested.
Waiting and reading
So I'll be starting the new job on Monday. I'm pretty excited about it! Until then, I'm reading mostly, and I can't get gardening off the mind. Currently into this book, "The Organic Gardener" by Catherine Osgood Foster. Its fantastic. It was published in 1972, and it actually gets pretty scientific about gardening techniques. It was a lucky garage sale find!
